Do not “Kalshalize” the “Qulunjeed” incident
Somaliland Watch Group is concerned of the wide spread discontent and distrust the people of Somaliland show against the government in every where. The latest incident in Awdal region is an example of these discontents. It escalated into military confrontation.
SOMALILAND WATCH GROUP would suggest the following:
- The government of Siilanyo usually acts first then thinks later. We call the government not to react to the incident as they usually do in many other incidents, they must instead respond to the incident.
- Do not take this incident as a challenge to the government or the Presidency; take it as a teachable moment. Let the local elders and politician deal with it. Learn from it then resolve the problem (justly) in the right way.
- Do not attack the complainers, attack what they are complaining of and resolve it accordingly reasonably
- The administration sent the wrong people to Borama to solve the problem. Send the right people from the region, elders and politicians and not Gulwadayaal
- The ministers the administration sent to Borama are “Guulwadayaal” and “Guulwade” is never part of any durable solution or any resolutions at all. They never tell the truth to their boss. The authentic traditional elders can be the right choice in our opinion
(kalshaale is a name of a place which a small incident happened but because of the miss-management of Siilanyo’s administration, created “Buhudle” unrest, then “Taleex” convention and later created the so called “khaatumo” state)
However peace and prayers
