Who Is Mr. Siilanyo Fooling Again This Time?

Who is Siilanyo fooling by appointing what he called a committee to ‘seek recognition for Somaliland!’ in his (illegitimate) last year, of his disastrous tenure as President of Somaliland?! The recognition of Somaliland depends on good governance and fair and unfettered elections, which Siilanyo and his ruinous crew in his government can not claim at all in the real world.

The foreign policy of any given country is the reflection of what happens inside that country. With out saying it is obvious that what is happening in Somaliland is not good at
all to say it mildly; then who is Mr. Siilanyo fooling? Already two guys from the opposition parties fooled their selves when they answered a call which was not made to them!

a) Therefore, Is Mr. Siilanyo fooling the people he fooled them two times before? That is during the SNM liberation struggle and now when they again entrusted him to be their leader, a trust he abrogated and betrayed unkindly?
b) Is he fooling history?
c) Is he fooling Allah?
d) Or is he fooling himself?

c)For sure he can not fool Allah. Allah said in alfaatir v.42 and 43 “On Account of their Arrogance in the land and their plotting of evil, But the plotting of evil will hem in only the authors thereof.” So he can not fool Allah and in this case he is fooling only himself.

b)He can not fool history for history Registers what happens in a point and period of time
a) I don’t think he can fool the trusting innocent people for ever! He already did two times. Now they learned their lesson in the hard way.
d) Mr. Siilanyo only fooled himself in this case with the exception of two guys from the opposition parties.

The saying goes that “a bad workman blames his tools.” The dysfunctional, dishonest and corruption invested Siilanyo administration blames their dismal failure in governing generally and in not holding overdue election on its time to others, like the international community and the opposition parties and others who happen to be on the same page with Somaliland people and the world.

Somaliland has one product to sell and there is one market to buy this product.
The product is Democracy, rule of law, stability and peace which may secure the recognition of the sovereignty of Somaliland as an independent country when it has the right people and the right policy to do the job. The only markets which appreciated the product and advise us to upgrade the product even though they are not buying it immediately are some members of the international community. They say “if you continue producing this good product the day the international community will say,yes we are going to buy such wonderful product, why not” will come one day, sooner or later. It is a matter of time.
To day Siilanyo and his collection of No knows “who knows not and knows not that they know not” are attacking the only market Somaliland has for her only product which is the international community and the moral sector of the society, and not only that, they are destroying the product so that there will never be a product to sell at all to any body! “We don’t need the international community” their sycophants who happened to be the government Ministers are saying that in the streets of Hargeisa and in the government owned TV. Now every body is talking about the timing of the elections, I for one believe that there will never be a fair election under the Siilanyo administration now or later
The people need to save (democracy and the rule of law) the product and not to antagonize (the international community) the market Somaliland wants to sell her product.The very few friends Somaliland has wanted Somaliland to succeed. They invested the development and maturity of democracy, they don’t deserve to be bashed by a recipient who failed and failed his people. That is said the author believes that Siilanyo and his collection know what they are up to but not fully processed the consequences of their action as far as Somaliland is concerned or probably they don’t care!

It is absurd knowing what we know now, seeing what we are seeing now and hearing what we are hearing now to say that the ruling clique in Somaliland really represents the national interest of Somaliland. The state became a tool of the Siilanyo’s government. That means the state supplies the self-indulgence of the oligarchs Therefore it is the state that represents Siilanyo’s interest and not Siilanyo representing the state’s interest. And lastly, those from the opposition parties who returned a call that was never sent to them fooled themselves as well!

In fact Somaliland is in political crises already. The difference is that it did not yet explode. It will if not wisely and intelligently addressed, but again who will do that? The worst in us is active and the worst of us are running the show! The rest are watching in bewilderment never figured out what to do
If we look back the history of former Somali Republic and to day’s Somaliland, we can recall what Dictator Siyad Barre did and said and what Deceptive Siilanyo did but did not expressed as Siyad did.
Siyad Barre said “when I leave, Somali Republic will not be there after me. It will vanish” True to what he said, Somali Republic vanished and Somalia was destroyed by inter-clan rivalry after Siyad was gone.
Siilanyo did not enunciated it but what he did and what he is still doing to Somaliland amounted to what Siyad Barre said in his time and the result will be similar. Siilanyo acted instead of saying that “Somaliland is set to vanish when I leave.”
Like termites the foundations of the Republic were eaten away. The evil deeds gradually degraded and demeaned Somaliland cause and case and dignity during the five years period Siilanyo was in power.

Generally the basic functions of a democratic government are:
a) to holdelections and
b) Provide services. Siilanyo administration failed on both counts.
The state supplies and satisfies the greed of the oligarch. It is the state that represents Siilanyo’s interest and not Siilanyo representing the state’s interest, the people’s interest that is! They demonstrated that in so many ways. They don’t care isolating Somaliland. They must be isolated instead
