What were the two cousins, Siilanyo and Suleiman up to?
June 17, 2014 - Written by Editor:Together Somaliland confronted the strongest army in east Africa Together we suffered and then survived Together we defeated the genocidal regime of Siyad Barre Together we triumphed and achieved success Together we resolved our differences and established a democratic Republic Under Siilanyo and Suleiman we ask, “What did you do with that togetherness? Where is the unity?” They divided the people, they sowed the seeds of hatred and now they are bellowing the unity horn! Calling unity is virtuous and good but these two gentlemen are the wrong people to do that, unless they are up to some thing sinister which is renewal and extensions of their terms in office and that is not acceptable under any circumstance. Extension amounts the end of Somaliland as we know it. Siilanyo and Suleiman Gaal called the three political parties they recognize. What were they up to? We don’t know what was in their mind but we may envision what they are up to. They reportedly told the defunct political parties that the people and the government must join in hands to defend our Mother land! Well, who can talk about ‘uniting people’? I think the two cousins are not the right people to talk about Unity and uniting the people. They must be the last persons to talk ‘uniting the people of Somaliland.’ they never did! 1-When Suleiman Gaal met the “xaqsoor” people who were complaining of their stolen votes by the government operatives as well as the young people Siilanyo’s government killed and others arbitrarily imprisoned, Mr. Guurti man, Sulieman threw his hand up in the air and sarcastically said, “Forget about them, they will settle down in the end!” probably that was the advice he gave his cousin Mr. Siilanyo! It was wrong thing to utter and a wrong advice to give to any body, but Suleiman did it any way! 2-Mr. Siilanyo rejected National Consultation and he fought tooth and nail and spent hundreds of thousands of the peoples money to kill National Consultation call, and not only that he demeaned the authors of the National Consultations- “MadashaWadatashiga” 3-Mr. Siilanyo once bragged that it is he and he alone to decide the fate and future of Somaliland and he is not ready to ask help from any one except those he want, the ignorant and the inexperienced! 4- Mr. Siilanyo complained of a neighboring country! Which country was that? Ethiopia? 5- Why the two cousins called an already beaten-up three political parties chair persons with less credibility in the people?
First thing first: a) Suleiman Gaal and Mr. Siilanyo are the last two persons to call for unity of the people of Somaliland for they divided the people already in fragments and created animosity between the people. b) Mr. Siilanyo divided and further divided the people for the last four years as to rule and rule them wrongly c) Yesterday Siilanyo rejected and spent a lot of money against Consultations and Corrections, why he is calling unity now and why he sought three lousy chair persons of unreceptive parties for that reason? Why the ‘doe’ did not call “Madasha” whey not the Authentic and organic Sultans. Before every thing else why didn’t they confess their mistakes of national proportion and then let a Care taking government take over to salvage Somaliland, if they really care the existence of Somaliland? That is the ONLY valid and acceptable call as far as this dilemma Somaliland is in is concerned.
Mr. Siilanyo and Mr. Gaal were beating the drum of war in the eastern sector of the nation. That area was in that situation for most part of the last twenty years even though the situation has deteriorated during Siilanyo tenure. Defending your borders is the right thing to do and those who are saying don’t defend your borders are wrong and they have to do that nonsense some where else.
The whole exercise is a prelude for an illegitimate extension of each of the defunct three branches –the already expired two houses and the executive branch which will soon expire. As far as the people are concerned that is a smoke-screen. They see and understand what the cousins are up to and they will not accept whether they start a war or not. Mr. Siilanyo’s administration isolated Somaliland even from the only country we had a close relationship and that is Ethiopia. They divided the people. They have stolen their recourses and now Mr. Siilanyo wants an illegitimate extension not from the people but from his cousin who himself earn his living illegitimately! Oh Lord, save Somaliland and save all Somalis who love peace and stability in their country from their leaders!!
