SWG considers the verdict against Journalists Yussuf Gaboobi and his colleague, repugnant, out of pace and out of bounds of justice. We believe it was a vindictive verdict. We believe it was shame to the courts of your country and the laws practiced there.

It was simply political and a means to intimidate and silence free speech.

On the other hand this repulsive act could inflame an already shaky situation in the country especially in the capital city of Hargeisa.

SWG is calling the President in person to intervene the injustice rendered to the said Journalists and others who may be in jail, for the sake of the country!

Left the embargo on Haauf and Hubaal news papers so that they can do their job
